21st Century: Automation unlimited

At the beginning of the new century, integrated working was an ever more important topic in the world of industry automation. But how can integration be combined with the traditional openness and platform-independence of zenon? Quite simply and intelligently:

In 2002, COPA-DATA founded the company COPALP as majority owner with AirLiquide as well as the two former ISAGraph Masterminds Christian Jargot and Jean-Claude Charles. It provides exactly the needed core competency for the intelligent integration between the SCADA and SPS world: straton -  the platform-independent PLC with IEC 61131 standard.

In 2003 already, the cooperation for zenon users bore fruits: zenon 6 set a further milestone. Six core features characterized the new generation of zenon:

• automatic engineering
• intelligent integration
• efficient reusability
• object-oriented parameterization
• elegant networking
• going global - Internationally operating

Operating internationally was also strategically in the foreground for COPA-DATA: COPA-DATA Middle East was founded as a subsidiary.

And 2005 continued COPA-DATA's fundamental "Going Global" strategy consistently: zenon was introduced on the Chinese market and for 2006, the founding of COPA-DATA USA is the next logical step to automation unlimited.
